I know that doors, windows and stairs do not excite most but houses do. The designs for those items have come from working on this new house. Here is a picture of the house being designed. I planned on it to have a curved roof the same as in the picture and have been able to duplicate that, also plan is to keep the workings from the last build "The Wedgewood" in this design meaning enclosing the house on all sides and having the side open for access and display. So far the house is coming along and as of now looks like this!! As you can also see I have made an access to the roof that flips up for viewing. Still lots to do but more to come. Leonard

I am loving this house so far. The fact that you are closing in the sides with access doors makes it even more appealing. I also like the roof access and the front stairs look great. Can't wait to see the finished product. I am assuming this is 1:24 scale. Will you be doing 1:48 scale as well? This is my birthday month so I need to get another house as a gift to myself. Either this one or the other one you are working on that is all enclosed.

This one is beautiful. I know it will be a popular one with my customers. Of course will wait until the 1/48 is finished.

All designs are first done in 1:24th scale. Once completed then they are done in the other scales. Reason is it is the easiest to work with in designing and because of mistakes or things that are changed it is cheaper in material. It also give a good perspective on the detail that easily transfers to 1:12th. As for 1:48th it is much harder to scale down and many things are altered to suite cutting and keeping detail, unfortunately some items are lost. Try not to but just can not cut everything clean. Happy Birthday BTW AC!!!

Thank you Dalesq,
Sorry everyone on the delay in completing this house have had orders from my distributer that need to be completed for local stores and have not had time to move forward on it, will get back to completing it as soon as I can. Also have interest in expanding window designs so that is another item as well as stairs. So much going on here.
Pleased that everyone likes it, hope it finds its way to many happy builders.

Alice, I'm working on it as fast as possible, like to warn that the kit will be priced higher then any of my other 1:24th kits. That is because of the detail, windows, stairs, material and time. Looking around $380.00 I can also assure you this is IMO the best kit I have made thus far. It will really stand out from others. Here are some pictures as I have the stairs and safety rails for each floor to complete then the instructions. Leonard

Leonard, This house is fabulous and by far your best design. I continue to search for quarter scale houses with side closures, and am so happy you are working on these type houses. Would a quarter scale house be ready by mid-summer? I have something special in mind for this house. Kristie

Kristie,
Can not promise that as it is busy here. I will do what I can but may do the 1:12 first as it will be easier and need more 1:12 houses in my lineup.

This house is spectacular. Really hoping I will be able to purchase with the 20% off Spring sale. Now that I am retired and living on a fixed income, I need to be careful with my finances.

This is stunning! I had no plans to build a Victorian house in the near future, but I might need to re-think that...

One question, though, about the windows to the balcony just above the front door: I see that the original house really has a window there, so you are reproducing it faithfully. But I think I would prefer French doors there so it could be a proper balcony. Would you consider making French doors that match your windows for this house, so that people who want to replace the window facing the balcony with French doors could do that?

Halfscale, Already planed the French door option and it will be part of the kit. So yes, just need to find a design I am happy with on the door as I want it to have glass. Almost have it but just a lot of work in cutting orders and that slows the design completion. Do not get me wrong prefer doing orders as it pays the bills... Leonard

Wow, this is just what I want -- I think! It will be larger than the Wedgewood you are in the process of making, right? I certainly looks like it will. If you can give me an idea of the measurements, this might be the House of My Dreams...!

The base is 12 wide by 23 deep, the house is 10 wide x 17 deep. The height with tower is 26 inches and not measuring tower, 17 inches to roof. Ceiling height is 5 inches.

Leonard,
I love the entire design of this house, especially the beautiful french doors. I may have to try a half scale house, may not be able to wait on the quarter scale. But, still have my fingers crossed for the quarter scale.
Starting work another Ashley Victorian. This will be the third time for building this house. It is a customer favorite.

Thank you Kristie,
I still have no time frame on the quarter scale and based on how long it is taking to do this I would say it is going to be a bit till I finish it. Sorry....
