This was the first quarter scale house kit I had ever completed. I researched numerous quarter scale kits, compared their design, layout, number of rooms, and price before selecting this one. The Ashley Victorian is the most visually appealing from all sides. Overall, I highly recommend this kit. During the build, I watched the online videos and looked at pictures of completed Ashley houses to help guide me. I also read forum threads for tips and best practices. I still need to add some exterior trim, tiles on the roof and furnishings. The rooms are still a work in progress and I plan to post more pictures in here soon.
Lighting: This hindered the build for several weeks as I couldn't figure out and decide on how I wanted to tackle lighting. In the end, I went forward without installing any LEDs. Furnishings: Some are kits I built and painted and others I bought already finished. Materials vary from laser-cut wood and 3D translucent plastic to polymer clay and metal. I love to find new vendors and purchase most online. Landscape: I live in a small apartment so adding a base for a landscape right now is near impossible. I hope to add this on later. Modifications: 1) I left out the third staircase that led to the attic. 2) I left out the square bases below each spire. 3) Added white trim to exterior. Attachments:

Carla, I love the stain glass window on the top floor, and also the full length dress mannequins on the third floor. Kristie

This is wonderful. I just got this, my first Quarter scale house to build, can't wait. Can you please tell me how you wired your house for led lights . I've researched until I'm blue in the face. Everyone talks like they've wired for ever so only show you how to make a light or lay down the copper tape. This is my first doll how to start from the ground floor so I don't have an idea how to begin. Is the copper tape even used with led lights? Are Diode lights the same as "dollhouse" led? Is the copper tape laid down in just one room on each level or in all of them? So many questions. I hope you can help me please. Thank you for your time, Trica
