I started on this house a few weeks ago. I decided to post the finished first floor. As usual, it has gone quite smoothly. The bottom was a tad warped. This my error. Remember, when you receive your dollhouse, and put it away for a rainy day, make sure all main floors, side walls, and interior walls are lying flat. If they get any moisture, there could be some warping. I didn't have any trouble once I connected the second floor. I have never had any problems before this house.
I need to finish the lighting, and on to the second floor. I am really please with this house. Excellent design.

Looking great KD, as always! I envy how well you work with these small designs and make them look so good. As for the warped items you are right do not let them site for a long time out, but I like birch as it is easy to conform back and once glued it tends to stay straight unlike other woods.
I get asked where to buy 1:48 scale furniture and I do not have a good store reference, can you share where you get yours? Much appreciated.
Great build again, love the color choices as well.

I'll be starting my Jasmine Gothic Victorian in 1/48" scale this week...in fact, have the base painted and put together.
I wondered, KD, if you would share a bit about how you are going about lighting your own Jasmine and if you're using little battery run lights, tape wire, or what? I would like to light mine, too, and need to understand it before I get much further. Thanks!!!

Thelma, I use LED battery operated lights. I work on one floor at a time, starting with the first floor and working upwards to the top floor. It may seem backwards, but that is the way you build your house. I think of it as a puzzle, where do all the pieces/lights going to be placed. After I know where every light will be placed, I began to work, carefully soldering them together. Eventually, the lights on each floor are soldering into one wire. Finally I solder these, each floor, wires together, and solder them to the battery pack. You will also need to think about where you will place the battery pack, the last piece of the puzzle.
I have used tape wire, and both do a great job. The tape wire doesn't require soldering, and the LED battery lights do need to be soldered. I think it all depends on what you are most comfortable with using. For me, the lighting requires the most patience.
You should have seen the first house I soldered, and it was a 1/144th scale. Finally, after several houses later, I found a method that works for me. It just takes lots of practice, and patience.
Good luck, I know your house will look fantastic.

Kristie, you did great on your Jasmine house so far. What an inspiration! I didn't have the patience to build and decorate the first floor before adding the next. I put the whole house together, then wallpapered....which was a challenge.....then decorated. But now I have to use tweezers to fiddle around putting the furniture in place. I like your way better. Lesson learned.
Here are a couple photos of mine so far. I removed a wall on the bottom floor and put the kitchen on the other side. donnahager.blogspot.com/ Some of my furniture is from Pretty Small Things. It is 3d printed which I think is amazing.
Wasn't sure how to add pictures so I added them as an attachment.

Your house is beautiful, and I love the soft colors. Wow, I can't imagine how you worked in such small spaces. I really like the way you arranged your kitchen. Nice Idea!!!!
I love the furniture by Pretty Small Things, but have never used any. I enjoy making my own, although it does take forever for me to finish a house.

I have finished the second floor of my Jasmine. I moved the first floor staircase to make more space, however it really made a small hallway on the second floor. So not sure it was the best idea. Things you learn...after....it is finished. Still need to add lighting.

My Jasmine Gothic Victorian 1:48 scale house is finally finished. I have a total of 213 hours in this house. Lots of rooms to decorate. This is now my favorite house....seems like my latest house always becomes my favorite. The roof is not quite as pink as the pictures. I always rename my houses... so, the new name for this house is: The Sage Victorian Mansion

KD,
Where do you purchase your lighting for the 1:48 scale houses?

Leonard, Thank your for your compliments. I am beginning on the Glenrose, and will do a complete review for this house. I have had so many questions about lighting, so that will be something I will talk about lots. It is lighting that was originally used for hobby trains, and sold by Evans Designs. It requires soldering, etc. But I will talk about that also.
The Gazebos are adorable. By the time I finish with my landscaping for a house, it seems as if I have run out of room. I will have to think about where to add a gazebo to the next "NEW" ...hint...1:48 th victorian house. Kristie

HI all. I received my Jasmine several months ago, just now hopefully this week getting a chance to start on it. I'd love to also know about the lighting. I'm not good with soldiering, but would like something in them, that would be nice. Working on color scheme, and thinking of pinks, like Grand Budapest Movie. I just finished my first 1/144 scale house and even though it was tiny as all get out, I enjoyed it, so the 1/4 will be MUCH easier I'm sure.
