hmmmm.... maybe a dormer or two on the top floor to add to the usable space.... a little bay window maybe on the ground floor? If you were thinking on expanding the size of the Ann a little bit (personally the small size is what attracted me to this house... so honestly I wouldn't expand the size more than a few inches)... but a little door opening onto a small top floor balcony over the front porch would be cute too. Leonard,
I have been reading the previous posts about changes being made to houses etc. These are MY thoughts:
The fun of building a dollhouse is creating a specific "look" for the house. I find a kit that fits most of my requirements and then go about making changes to fit the "look." Sometimes I use the window trim in certain rooms, sometime I don't use the trim at all, and sometimes I cut out the inside of the frames. It all depends on the look I am trying to achieve. I appreciate a kit that includes all of the extras you add to your kit. This makes my build easier, but also allows me to make any changes as I build.
I also enjoy a little "kit bashing." Sometimes I do this during a build, and sometimes I purchase a kit knowing I will be changing specific areas as I build...moving a wall....adding a wall.....moving a staircase.... But, sometimes I don't change anything. It all depends on the "look" I want in the house. To me, this is the fun of building.
If you notice, most of us even change the names of the houses we build. Why? They are no longer the original dollhouse kit, instead they have become our dollhouse, as we add our own specific style.
I guess what I am trying to say is your kits are already fabulous. Your kits represent your style, even though certain kit styles have been requested. These are still your designs, using your style. I can't think of any other dollhouse companies that add all the extras you add to your kits. The gingerbread trim, window trims, working doors, staircases, etc. are what attracted me to your kits in the beginning.
Keep up the good work, and keep adding those extra's. Miniature "fanatics" never throw anything away....just like elementary teachers......you never know when you might use it!!!! For example: I decided to add a door on the third floor of the Jasmine I am working on, and I found what I needed from a previous build.
You create wonderful dollhouse kits!!!!
