The living room is finished. Lighting will come later. The couch & chair face the fireplace. The doorway opens in to an entry way. This is the wall that faces the couch. The archway is nice addition to this room, and a perfect place for the Grand Piano.

I have the first floor finished. On to the lighting. This is the entry way, and the stairs to the second floor. This is the dining room section of the kitchen area. The kitchen section.

You appear to have moved the staircase. I like it! Was it difficult to redo the opening in the floor/ceiling?

Yes, I moved the staircase. As far as difficulty, I guess it depends on how much you work with wood, saws, etc. I have Dremel Saw, and Drill Press, so it is relatively simple for me. I try to keep the piece I cut out from the new opening and glue it back to the original opening. Then I use wood putty to fill in the gaps, let it dry completely, then sand it smooth. I really want to tackle building a house from scratch, but haven't built up enough courage. Someday.

Here is the thing about being a small family company Poly, if you ask me when ordering to have the stairs moved it can be done prior to cutting and shipping. KD really enjoying you build. Looks great!!

I'm having such fun looking at all your photos...enjoying what you come up with and dreaming about my own (lack of progress). You are so good at posting each stage of your work. I hope you keep making Leon's kits AND post each angle as you build them.
Perhaps sometime you could get someone to take a few photos of you actually working on some kits? That would be great!!!!!

Thema, Thanks for the compliments! I enjoy taking pictures of my miniatures, because I feel it is a good motivator for me. It is sort of like journaling my progress through pictures, and keeps me working on a regular schedule. However, I prefer my miniatures to be center stage instead of myself.

I just purchased this house and love seeing what you have done. It really inspires me. Your work is incredible. Where do you get your furniture and accessories. I love the wallpaper and rugs you used. The furniture looks great. I am working on the 1/4 scale Leon Gothic right now and spending a lot of time trying to figure out the order of things. What to do first, second, third and so on. I am working on the first floor and figure that in this scale I have to do the interior walls and floors before moving on to the second floor. I can't wait to retire to be able to spend more time on my dollhouses. I would love to know how you do the lighting in the 1/4 scale.

The lighting is finished for two more rooms. There is a lamp in the study, but I haven't connected all of the wires. I still have the guest bedroom to finish, dormers, trim, and roofing. Almost done!

Love your choice of wallpaper. This is all looked great! I do wonder where you come up with all your furniture...do you make them, or do you have kits, or a favorite vendor? They are always so interesting. Which house will you be doing next? These are such fun, huh.

Kristie, You always amaze me with your talent in the 1:48 scale. I simply love how you have decorated this great house kit. This is a kit I will have to purchase. I am still working on the Jasmine Gothic.
